Current Book Count: 330

Hey, y'all! I have been asked from time to time over the years for my book recommendations around antiracism and white supremacy. Up until now, I'd never ventured to create a list. There are a lot of books out there to help people dismantle their connections to and perpetuation of white supremacy. For all the books I've heard of and read, I know hundreds more that I have yet to hear about or read.

With that said, see below my attempt at a recommended reading list. This list was built based on books I've read, books that have been recommended to me, and books that are currently sitting on my "must-read" list. It's...it's a lot of books, y'all. And it will continue growing - so keep an eye on this page, as there will be new additions to the list. If you've got book recommendations, drop me a line at pharoahboldingconsulting@hotmail.com.

Regarding the list, I do not recommend reading three of these books back-to-back. Read one and give yourself a moment to absorb its content. Give yourself a week or two in between books to not overwhelm yourself. The deeper you get into this list, the more you'll unpack and the rawer you'll feel. Do not overwhelm yourself. Allow yourself to learn, grow, and process your discomfort.

For my Black and Brown folx, Indigenous folx, AAPI folx, Global Majority folx, and intersectional folx: share this list next time someone in your life enmeshed in white supremacist patriarchal nonsense grappling with their connections to white supremacy asks you for reading recommendations. Just give 'em this list (or the link) and leave 'em to their reading. Hopefully, this always-evolving list will help take some weight off your shoulders.

You can download a PDF of this list here.

Please note that some of the books on this list appear in multiple categories because they fit multiple categories. I shouldn't have to say this, but I assure you that the book count is accurate, even with the duplicate entries. Please fight the urge to be the person to "double-check" my work and send me an email about my counting skills. That's white supremacist ideology and tasteless as hell. Be better. Do better. You really need to read some of these books.

Also, if you feel so inclined to offer compensation for the work and community that goes into updating and evolving this list, you can show your appreciation in the following ways:
